Hell if I know. We don't have details nor are we likely to get much. Regardless, I wouldn't have counted on having gotten a penny from Verizon anyway, so this is good. At least this should cut legal expenses. Between that and the accelerated options vesting, these should improve the bottom line by a couple of percentage points.

I would not count on a flood of business coming to Covad from Verizon. Just as with SBC/AT&T, they won't just lose the business but the big guys may not have any interest in pushing what is there.

But it's always another possibility.
