It has nothing to do with me, I am in Google. But facts is facts and multiyear bear markets are not good for the economy overall. Even in the 70s you could have invested in real estate or some stocks and done well. The tail end of the 70s was the first PC-related tech boom after all. But that doesn't change the fact that the 70s sucked as an investment period. Thats what this is.

Results of 2005 forecast contest: Cisco closed at $17.12, which makes Sr K the big winner. He now has bragging rights for the rest of 2006.

As of tomorrow, Jan 1, I'll be taking guesses for the close on 12/31/2006. I'll accept forecasts through the end of Jan. In addition, if anyone wants to change their guess, feel free to post your change prior to the end of Jan. Hope we are more accurate next year!
