Terrific post and it sums up the political situation well. Here is a prediction to go with it. Dems will do better in polls approaching the congressional elections, but in the end when folks go to vote, many voters will get serious on issues that matter and think about a Pelosi/Dean/Murtha reign and then hold their nose and vote for the GOP. I am waiting for the Republicans to actually point to a situation where a terror plot was actually foiled by wiretapping for instance. Then the Eleuthras and Dale Bakers can yell, it would be better to take the hit and have your kids die than to violate some quotation of Ben Franklin thru wiretaps. Lets see how that will play in Peoria and NY for that matter. mike
