The 80s and 90s were a bull, this decade is like the 70s (a practically impossible feat for a fiscal team to achieve btw since unlike the Carter era, US companies are lean and mean and we went into the decade with a HUGE SURPLUS)... but anyway, I agree the market doesn't go up in a straight line, that is the default behavior sure, but not when a Bush is elected.
