You could certainly use taxes from pot to pay for quite a lot of drug treatment. On top of that, if drugs are legal, purity issues and contamination are likely to become less problematic. I think hiding health problems because they are drug related also causes people to make health problems more critical- and more expensive.

Maybe legalizing drugs would be a good thing. It will put lots of people out of work. Maybe our taxes will go down.
