Yep, that's the way it goes with struck and unstruck viscera.

I think that struck viscera are useful if they provide the impetus to study something and come up with a thoughtful position on it. I have a few viscera, too. But when the struck viscera triggers a mindless reaction that substitutes for a thoughtful position, there's a problem.
