"then one of your local neighborhood daycare centers...." That is more likely. But, ok. How is warrantless spying on Americans going to stop that? Were the 9/11 hijackers in communication with bin Laden? Probably not. They had their mission before they were in country. Even before the warrantless searches were know about, they certainly had to realize that a wiretap with a warrant was a possibility. It is not like they publish it in the newspaper when a warrant is issued.
