Hey Mike,

Hope maxy works big. I took it out of my contest at the last minute as I wasn't sure much happens for them next year. OTOH I don't think they will still be independent by 12/31/07. I have a note to myself to come back and look carefully at maxy in about 8 months. The sort of note I throw away after a month or two. I'll die if Roche munches them in 2005.

MM versus DF biotech contest
(being played for a dollar,
or litre of Mountain Dew)

mm...arql avgn dpii dvsa glgc kosn maxy trps
df...affx cege dndn dpii glgc hgsi incy zgen

So, we share glgc and dpii :-)

We used to share tgen :-(

All I can say about our stock picking is
that the letter D is overrepresented this
year.

my preliminary 07 contest picks
(price they were entered into 06 contest)

ARQL (6.12) --Arqule is down around $4, keep it?
DPII (2.65) --replaced by INFI
DVSA (4.80) ?? has done well, now around $9
GLGC (3.35) --has been halved, cash getting
lower all the time--maybe too late to turn around?
KOSN (4.44) ??
MAXY (7.51) did okay, now around $9
TRPS (2.93) lousy choice, down a lot, toss.

Probably will go with a portfolio that is part
leftovers from this past year, a couple of
new stocks, and part MiniB which has done pretty
well over the past few months.
