This is a significant event IMO
I wrote an article talking about this last week but unfortunately W&G did not use it and I never posted it on my blog waiting for them to post it.

We can see a NG spike in all of Europe over this if it lasts.

So far Russia has stopped supplies to Ukraine by lowering overall pressure, but Ukraine hasn't done anything, so in effect Ukraine siphons some NG destined to West.

<<<``The Yushchenko election committee wants this gas war very much because if the election campaign continues on the path it's on now, Yushchenko won't win,'' Markov said. ``They want to provoke Gazprom to stop supply and organize a huge anti-Russian campaign -- to rally the people around the flag.'' >>>

New prices for NG will bunkrupt Ukraine's heavy industry and cause tremendous pain to the population. Eventually it must have very negative for current anti-Russian regime as prices are being rased only as a reply to Ukraine's hostility towards Russia.
Just imaging if the US was selling stuff to Canada giving 80% discount off market prices. This would be saving Canada billions of $$ and in reply Canada would start some campaing tarring the US. What would be the US's reply?

<<<It receives about 28 billion cubic meters from Gazprom, he said, some of which is re-exported.>>>
Interesting that Ukraine charges full market prices for re-exported NG .

Also interesting that word "Russia" doesn't appear in any of these reports. From investment POV Russia just doesn't exist.
