If you want to consider Al Qaeda to have the winning hand after what has happened in Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya, and Jordan I am not sure you are open to the discussion you are looking for.

How many millions have been liberated from Bathist and Al Qaeda oppression? How many are free to vote and now have a fighting chance for a better future?

No doubt some people were pushed into the arms of Al Qaeda by our actions to liberate Iraqi's and Afghani's. Does this mean we are losing?

Winning in this narrow sense should be measured by whether we are enabling the formerly oppressed to determine their future and that they adopt some form of stable progressive representative government.

<What is the enemy trying to do in our back yard?>

If allowed........ the same policy they are attempting to carry out in Iraq and Afghanistan with a nuclear winter or 2 thrown in.

<If we are creating more, we are losing - unless you, like Bin Laden, want a war between faiths. A WWIII. >

Read Bin Ladens letters and listen to his radio broadcasts and you will find, in their minds, there exists only 1 faith and all others {including those other muslims you referred to} are to have our/their collective heads chopped off. It is a world war to them. That we are creating more zealots of that nature is not correct........ evidenced by the number of the enemy that are being turned over by Iraqi's that have had enough of Al Qaeda. They have set free by a President with the will to fight and the foresight enough to see the true nature of the enemy.

< I think it is clear now that we are creating more terrorist as demonstrated by the continuing insurgency.>

The insurgency is dying. The statistics are very clear even if the MSM refuses to print it on the front pages. So your argument is that there is nothing to fear domestically from Bin Laden and his followers ?
