Thinking that people who hold different views are stupid is the easy way out. We have to look at the root cause. After all,professors at most institutions of higher learning lean sharply leftward. Does that mean that you have to be stupid to get a PHd and go on to teach? The media has demonstrated that they believe people are easily manipulated. This implies that the true differentiation would be based on capability for independent thought. Lefties may be highly capable of repeating what they read in a text book, or on the evening news. It is the critical analysis of those instructions that they lack the capacity for. <g>
