AJ, That sounds kind of what my uncle did when one of his cows got into the milo maize plot while it was still green. We found her on her side and on the ground, with her belly severely bloated. We were 20 miles from town, and a hail storm was threatening, so he got a drill bit, and hammer from the bed of the pick up, and punched a hole in her. The gas spewed out, and we were able to get her on her feet again. First thing next morning, we went out with some gooey looking medicine, and had to chase her down to put it on. He had worked cattle all his life, and knew just where to poke the hole.
