A Passion is for Gold has a few technical paragraphs but the glossary and the diagrams and maps made it easy to understand for this non-geologist. The big thing I got from the book was how the geology of the area means that northern Nevada is very prospective for more large gold mines. I suspect as the juniors get good results the majors will take them out. Dr Roberts tells a story of how he & his partner got snookered by investors into helping them pitch and sell a claim bought for $10.5 million to Newmont Gold for undisclosed big money and American Barrick for $90 million in stock (pg 180-182). I don't think the Cortez Trend is played out yet.

Thanks for all the ideas, I see I have a lot of reading to do. I had CMQ.v on my reading list but I learned of 4 stocks I had not thought of.

I'm not sure I see why the mismanagement of Bema should prevent VIT.v from being valued for any future assets they find. Is BGO still being misled by Clive Johnson? Is VIT.v actually in debt? They surely can't be hedged as they have nothing to hedge. Maybe BGO's sad state of affairs is actually a reason why they'd want to sell off VIT.v to raise cash?
