Wow, I forgot that conversation totally.
We were right on!!

Isn't it sad that SDH/Sonet development work in Europe is now de facto reduced to Marconi in Genova and Alcatel in Vimercate.
Both Italian locations.
No, I didn't forget the 1,200 people at Lucent in Nuremberg, but they are just playing around with their monster "cover it all" legacy compatible platform.

Siemens Com first moved all SDH work to Siemens l'Aquila in Italy, then from there subcontracted at Photonic Bridges in China, closed down Italy and acquired PB.

Very creative and skilled management, just like at Pan Am.
