I lived in No. Va. for six years and it was really cool to live somewhere other than Florida ... I've never really understood why people want to move down here so much.

If you are a native it's home so you have a reason to stay but other than that the best thing Florida has always had going for it is that you can live real cheap, and now it doesn't even have that.

Particularly central Florida ... I like Gainesville cause I went to school there for about a decade but other than that you couldn't pay me to live in the middle of the state, the heat and humidity are ridiculous.

Also restaurants tend to suck here because the old people and midwesterners like their food real bland.
