This year, the stupid American people will reap what they sowed. Unfortunately, the non-stupid ones will be affected in the fallout as well.

Quit defending smear and propaganda campaigns. Yes, sometimes they work, but they are usually one-use weapons, like LAAWS rockets, unless the voters really are ignorant, which is of course always true to some extent, especially those who get their "news" from rightwing radio. Those are ignorant and duped people. Anyway, the Rove type smears only work the first time. Or at least the first time in a long time. They never work twice on the same target because by the time the election's over the smears have all be proven to be lies and fantasies. The smearvet type BS will never work again on Kerry. The media won't give those jokers the time of day next time. And body's going to let the RNC say "Kerry called the troops terrorists". That kind of total BS will never stick. Also, I very much doubt Bushies can run on their records in the future. Back in 2000 and 2002 they had very little record to doubt or praise, and in 2004 it was a very close election during war-time (one reason Bush started the war). Rove pulled out every dirty trick in the book to narrowly beat Kerry, including possibly stealing Ohio with the Diebold machines. In other words, Kerry might have been the real winner.
