Well I was being somewhat metaphorical<g>

When the power goes out how many devices do you have to reset the clock on?

I can count about 8 in my house and some still go off in the middle of the night (pool filter especially) because I don't get around to resetting them. Dark ages.

I have settled on the design of my living room PC - I'll wait a couple of months for the DDR2 rev of the Athlon64 to save a bit more power on memory usage. Actually I realized that the shift from DDR->DDR2 will be quick and easy for the motherboard manufacturers, just change a few slots and sockets - the flip side of putting the memory controller on the CPU.
