So, did this guy Schiff read an entirely different article than the one published in the WSJ or did he just use it as an excuse to launch his assault on the army of straw men he propped up in front of himself? Bernanke, first of all, NEVER said the fed "caused the Great Depression". More generally, his analysis of the fed's role in prolonging and deepening it is right on. Schiff is obviously and shamelessly railing at economic enemies of his own creation in order to tout his firm's be afraid - be very afraid outlook on the American economy, American stocks, American bonds, and American currency.
