I knew about the Temperance connection but I had no idea about the Ku Klux Klan.

I guess prohibition was not really constitutional because it was eventually repealed. You Will You Shall You Must does not sound very American to me. Armed groups of goons worried that someone has a micky in their sock drawer also does not sound very American to me.
