Rich, it truly is time consuming to find an intraday trade, begin to play it and then try to post it here.

In a lot of cases, I'm looking to capture 25 to 50 cents on a larger position and I do have to pay attention.

I slow down during lunch time which is why I can post now.

REDF is one of the better trades today. It is close to turning into a swing trade.

On an hourly chart, I look for stocks breaking above a 20 period moving average.

Do you have access to real time charts? This would be necessary to effectively trade intraday.

Re: TRID ... 60 minute 3-5 bar reversal play .........

>>> Since you're going at this a bit differently this year, would you consider posting some of these intraday trades? <<<

Rich,

I did take some time to mention some of the intraday plays that were made today. It was stressful to track them, place orders, report those fills here and then provide an analysis for them later. But rather than just tell you that, I thought I would show you. Your questions were legitimate, it's a matter of how much time I have to follow through. For example:

Between 2:00 PM and 2:15 PM, I had 18 set ups alone. That was just in that 15 minute time frame!

They were:

ODP, EPL, FDRY, TRID, ABV, CBI, DVA, KKD, DPL, CG, AAI, AQNT, KCI, CYPB, DCN, PTIE, AAP and AUO.

It takes time to sift through the charts and decide which ones to play. You must know, in advance, exactly what sort of set up you are looking for because you've got to act fast.

At 2:03 PM, I posted that I was in the TRID trade.

Message 22023641

The time frame for this trade was intraday. I was using my set ups via the 60 minute chart. The set up for this play was a 3-5 bar reversal. Analysis on the chart.

Nothing changes in the set ups except the time frame. A 3-5 bar reversal works whether it's a monthly chart or a 5 minute chart. You adjust your price targets to the time frame you are looking at.
