We don't really know what all the leakers said We know exactly what the Times said, which is the set of info in question, the set of info available to the enemy. It doesn't matter what else they said to the Times if the Times doesn't spill it. And everything else about any other potential leaks and potential leakers is irrelevant until and unless the info gets to the enemy. Even under national security rules, we don't charge one person with what some other similarly situated person MIGHT do.

Karen, you bring up so much extraneous stuff, that it is really hard to answer. It's just a simple question-- it's not some confrontational defense of the NYT or my love for scummy people everywhere. I just don't get it. The potential for a future problem from a known leaker made sense to me, so I am sorry that isn't the answer. You say we don't know what the leaker said. I don't know what he said either, after reading the article, that gave away anything obvious. So what did the terrorists get from that that we didn't? And if you don't know, then I don't understand why you think they DID get something that we didn't. I am sure Lindy et al wish this would stop, and since the verdict is out for me on all of these issues until they settle, it's ok with me to quit at this point. Thanks for trying so hard to enlighten me!
