Laz, I don't know who put a burr under your saddle, but I never said people could not buy anything they wanted, and could afford, but if they buy trash, they are stupid, IMO.

They shouldn't have bought the Detroit junk unless they wanted to, and many did not. I do pity the fools that bought Yugos though.

I know about all of the parts being made off shore, and I also know how many Japanese car makers have, or are, building plants in the US. So what?

I never said I could prevent anything, so don't put words into my mouth.

>>cause it's cheaper and they are out to make a profit<< So they can make MORE profit, not just a profit.

>>American" made computers? Ever look at the origins of most of the chips and other components inside<< I'm well aware of where the components come from, but the end product is sold by an American company, so I don't like talking to a rude, uneducated, mumbling, person from India if I have a problem with it. I know that there are a lot of very intelligent, and well schooled, people from India, but the ones that answer the phones, don't know shit from Shinola.

>>maybe initially. Reality does eventually weigh in<< It's been thirty plus years. How long does it take for people to wake up and smell the coffee?
