For some whatever goes wrong in the world is the fault of the jews. I try to make a distinction here between some of the posters. I try to understand those who see palestine in a far different way that i do. So i can chat with grasso although i disagree with his pal/is position. But North's post was clearly using the big lie technique to demonize jews much like david duke does. I will not waste my time with scum like that.
As far as US policies go, we have to get alot smarter. I think we have effectively combatted terrorism domestically by being aggressive with the patriot act and wiretaps. Internationally the mistake we made in iraq is thinking that it was low hanging fruit. Yes it was low hanging but the fruit of victory was bitter civil/religous and national strife. Looking back at things the way they were in 2002, iran would have been the more logical target to apply pressure on. Iran has its own separate terror networks, was looking to acquire nukes and had a population back then who might have been able to turn on the mullahs. I am not advocating war with iran but i think the use of special ops might have worked better. No iran was not low hanging fruit but the fruit (the fall of the mullahs) would have been alot sweeter and there would have been little of the civil strife that exists in iraq as iran moved naturally back to democracy which is a concept they understand. The Arabs dont really get it re: democracy.
