Congress did know

Rep. Pete Hoekstra (R-Mich.), chairman of the House Select Intelligence Committee stated on “Fox and Friends” this morning that he and other members of congress participated in numerous intelligence brienfings about the NSA wiretap issue. They were asked many times if they had any questions about it, and not one stood up and questioned any of it.

He has personally sat in on at least six briefings on this spying program since August 2004, and has no problems with it.

For them now to claim they didn’t know, doesn’t surprise me. Problem is, no one (except the true blue believers of course) believes them.

I don’t think the New York Times nor the Democrats expected that their bluff would be called. Times are a changing, they may as well get used to it. Their lies and crap doesn’t fly with most Americans anymore.

Murtha is like Sheehan. When the controversy started, people tried to give him the benefit of the doubt out of respect for his prior service, but his rhetoric has used up the free ride.
