i wonder if it could be cleaned up in a few decades.. the social problem is not only jobs or lack of parents but the whole social structure. we now take the kids to school and get them two meals a day which they may never have gotten prior to late 50's early 60's. we have guidance counselors in schools, etc. we have after school programs but perhaps not enough of them. we have day care, and it appears we are headed to full time day care soon. Next we need someone to live at home ,, nannies, yes we need for ted Kennedy to come up a new social program that provides full time nannies for low income children. Must be live in , no time off unless you have a relief nannie.

ps nannies must be drug free.

Far as I am concerned anyone born in USA should be fed, clothed and given health care,

That was the goal of LBJ's "Great Society." It destroyed the black lower class.
