I've been using various strategies interchangeably on KBH, TOL, PHM, and MDC. Usually I have a short and covered puts against two of them at a time. They are all active in Bubble locales:

The other strategy might be put bear spreads. Buying straight puts is too expensive in this sector IMO. Homebuilders are still tough shorts though because they are still highly profitable outfits, there are large short positions (as a popular shorting sector) that seem to get regularly squeezed, and the companies are aggressively buying in the open market.
