TJ, inasmuch as Big Ben and Uncle Al KBE represent the sharp end of maintaining the mighty USD as the pre-eminent currency it seems idle to write <maestro greensputin is a wastrel and ben boom charlatan burnandkaput is a waste of energy and matter?> given that Uncle Al has maintained said Mighty USD as the world's pre-eminent currency for decades and Big Ben hasn't even hit his stride yet and there is no suitable USD replacement available at present, though the euro and yen continue to pretend to the throne.

Over quarter of a century ago, the USD and gold were in much the same relationship as today. In that time, the USD has also paid interest. Despite being diluted immensely at great profit to those with the right to pixelate new dollars every day and spend said new money on their hobby horses, the dollar has maintained value - admittedly thanks in large part to an expanding global population and economy, biotelecosmictechdot.com productivity boom, China maths and Indian code.

Uncle Al KBE and the owners of the USD have scored untold $billions of profits of control.

It has been an astounding success. Uncle Al KBE has run the show for most of that fantastic era. I dare say the USA would love to have another equally successful "wastrel".

It really has been one of history's amazing phenomena and it continues apace. The rest of us are funding the American Empire and their fantastic fiat profits. To hold the line and profit so tremendously for quarter of a century is not exactly being a wastrel.

I had best get on with my Q development. I have no desire to be an American Empire serf.
