You might have a point--although, in a
bad year for biotech, wouldn't the
portfolio that was simply the most
pharmaceutical win? Choosing all biotech
shorts simply trumps that portfolio.

Personally, I prefer to see a portfolio
that is all long, but wins by losing the
least in a bad year. Even if that means
that Rick will win a third time, ha!

I'm with Doc. Shorting seems against the spirit of the contest. Fun challenge that's supportive of bio, not rooting for failures.

His picks are about as pure to the spirit of this contest as they can be, however. It's not like they're a bunch of avian flu puke.

But...... in an external event year, it could mean an undeserved victory. I guess that I vote with you, Mike and rkrw, but I admire the spirit in which the portfolio was constructed and entered.
