"What percentage of people are on public assistance?" A much higher percentage than actually do need it. What bugs me is the dems that actually feed and grow this class so they can have political power. Not as extreme of a case, but this is what the taliban and al quida's do. They tap inot people's misery, blame it on someone else and tell them "We will help you". They "protect" them against the people that say with a little hard work and perserverance YOU CAN MAKE IT TOO. This is not to say that nobody needs gov't assistance. But self reliance is a much stronger message and one that if embraced will lead to happier and more productive lives in 99 out of 100 cases. But the Jacksons, Sharptons and Wrangels of the world would not survive with that message. So they preach hatred and intollerence by blaming others for their followers problems.
