I've been to Steamboat on only one occasion; two years ago, late March. It was spring conditions and so we waited until the sun had turned the crust to corn, and made a decent day out of it. Had plenty of fun at the bars later that night. They want roughly $400 per day at that cat outfit. Pretty stiff, IMO. I'm thinking that I might call and see what sort of deal (if any) they offer for being on stand-by. [I've got a friend that lives in Steamboat whom I could stay with for awhile.]
