"This is also more complicated than you make it out to be"

I think that most issues are actually simpler than many make them out to be. Use a little logic, complete honesty and some common sense and you can come to conclusions and solutions that make sense. For both of these issues (NSA spying and social programs) it seems that your only response is that they are complicated. Think them through and form an opinion on them. I strongly believe that the liberal side makes things "complicated" to serve their own purposes. Not sure whether they do it on purpose or not. I think they do it because it IS complicated to make the facts fit the opinion as opposed to forming opinions based on facts. I met with a guy recently that was very, very far to the left (compared to me at least) and we had a long (and civilized) conversation about our opposing views. One big part of his reasoning involved what I viewed as an odd position. It was that "the pieces of the puzzle fit". My interpretation of that is that he has strong opinions, and to back those opinions the "puzzle pieces" had to fit for his opinions to be justified. This is also my theory as to why the Bush haters go so far with their charges against him. If they just went with the facts then they would have to look within to see why they hated him so deeply. But if you start with hating someone (which most Bush haters do imo),then it is easy to call him a criminal, compare him to hitler, call him a murderer, or claim that he should be impeached for tracking international terrorists without checking with a beaurocratic body that was set up to stop domestic spying on folks when national security is NOT INVOLVED.

I originally came to this site to debate because I think ISSUES are important, and I like to debate. But on the left side of this thread I have found very few that can eloquently lay out their positions and support them. So they call people vile names and make outlandish charges against those that disagree. So now generally when I post it is just to expose the weakness of the positions I am against and to make fools out of people that use personal attacks to support their "positions".

Simple enough?
