Hackett will the new senator from Ohio. Jean Schmidt is finished, a laughing stock. The voters of that very conservative must feel like idiots voting for Schmidt.

What do you think of the scenario of the US ditching the Kurds and using Turkey as a base to strike Shiite Iran (and allowing the Turks to attack the Kurds in return)?

What would happen to the insurgency in Iraq then? Would the Kurds sit quietly while they are being ditched? Will the Iraqi Shiites sit quietly while their ideological brethren in Iran are under attack by the same invaders that is occupying their own country as well?

And how do you think we can control a country (Iran) that is 3 times larger and 3 times more populous than Iraq (and full of mountainous terrain) when we cannot even control the city of Baghdad?

My prediction (and I do hope against hope that the neocons are not so stupid as to start a war against Iran) is that the current Iraq problem would look like a picnic, in case Dumbya decides to strike Iran. You would attack Iran only if you desire a problem 10/more times bigger than what you currently have in Iraq.
