So, the Intel chips will:

drop parallel ATA drive support in favor of serial

BIOS will be in NAND flash memory - which could be used for holding applications also (does this open up a new venue for virus composers to take over the computer? - holy smoking motherboard, batman!)

...first Intel Southbridge to support the firm's La Grande technology (LT), a hardware-based security and digital rights management approach that is based on the specifications developed by the Trusted Computing Group (TCG). A key part of the technology will be integrated into a "Trusted Platform Module" (TPM) that will be located on the motherboard.

While TPM might prevent OSX from working on non-Apple computers, I'm sure it will prevent other things from working as well in order to protect intellectual rights (until someone finds a hack around it). Well what's wrong woth that? Who doesn't trust their motherboard? (ouch)
