Mish -- no, you did NOT say copper is in a bubble... I just wanted get my two cents worth of opinion out there...

you can join the ranks of those looking for a slowdown in copper demand if you like...some have been looking for it for 2+ years...so far these prices are *NOT* giving the naysayers any satisfaction...

a US housing collapse could make a dent in demand, but permits are still increasing, & China is still growing double digits.. Double Digits! ..

If & when copper demand slows OR supply materializes we will see it right away as disappearing backwardation...as it is now, users still need copper so badly they can't wait a few months for delivery....that means no stocks on hand...

you can predict slowing copper demand if you want, but I don't think so.... we sure don't see it happening yet...
btw COMEX copper is near record highs at 2.09+ per lb. ....

No slowdown in China for constructing and upgrading its current super lousy power grid.
