Bighead carp were brought to this country to be raised for food. A big flood back around 1990 caused the Mississippi River to rise above the levees that formed the raising pond along the Southern part of the river and now they are all over the river system. Damn things jump into boats, I've had 3 friends have that happen. The sound of a boat motor causes them to jump TOWARD the noise. Now you're boating down the river doing 50 mph, 60 pound fish jumps toward your boat and smacks you in the face. Big ouch.
