Christ taught us to beware hypocrites. They are worse than acknowledged sinners, because they pretend to be holier than thou, but deny all guilty and take the Lord's name in vain by being two-faced villains. Many on the religious right are the worst kind of hypocrites. And Bush himself is one, claiming to be a Christian but defending only the very rich, the war mongers, the polluters and profiteers. Only one US president in recent times has been a real christian, and that is Jimmy Carter. But he never bragged on it, nor did he politicize his faith. And he was always there for the needy and the little guy. That's real Christianity.
