How is that relevant to the question of legalization. Why would you require that when drugs are legal and not when they're illegal? What's the difference?

Then I guess we pretty much agree about decriminalization, for the most part. The rest is just details. I think treatment should be available, but I wouldn't think it should be required. We are, after all, a semi free country- that really ought to include the choice to take drugs if you are an adult, if you want to.
