They can spin it anyway they want. First part of last year smaller stocks tumbled so hard and fast you'd have thought the 1973-74 bear market was lurking again. Just a sucker wipeout as the economy was very strong. This year perhaps plays out the exact opposite?

I'm sure many were well aware of 1973 and 2005 as the real comparison. First year of reelected Republican president in period of war, mounting deficits and rising inflation. Rising housing market just delaying the inevitable. Interest rates are the key IMHO as to how bad it gets..
