Good post Sam. I will pose my question in another way and please dont take it the wrong way. Even if i am wrong about their still being hope and even if our guys and gals are dying in what will be proved to be a futile war; i still think that it behooves us to pray, hope and work for the better outcome at least for one more year. Zarquawi cant be the wish of most iraqis, nor is iran domination. Our very smart ambassador and the political deals now being made offer some hope. I never thought there would be flowers for us but i do think that iraq in a very strange way could become the model for a democracy with a middle eastern flavor. I think we hope for that together--you were more right than me about the war at inception but that doesnt automatically make you right about the inevitabilty of a bad outcome. Mike
