Nice attempt to confuse the issue.

Actually, that is counter-factual. No Democrats got any money directly from Abramoff, only Republicans. Now some did get some money from Abramoff's clients, but they were getting money before Abramoff waddled onto the scene. In addition, most got much less money after Abramoff started to represent them. Now Democrats also got money from Abramoff's associates, but you would have to make the argument that those established lobbyists fell under Abramoff's control somehow.

Which is not to say there might be some Democrats who get caught up in this. But the number is far smaller than the number of Republicans.
