Geode was ripping me yesterday for not being a moderate as i claim i am. When i refer to middle of the road/moderate i take into account all the nations votes both republicans and democrats and i wind up in the middle where there are, dare i say, many republicans as well. When geode, parsons, sioux, us the term moderate they count only the democrats and those to the left of the democrats. There is no place for republicans, christians, jews etc unless they first renounce bush. Dennis' oil remarks were particularly dumb because it totally ignores what was everybodys fear when the war started--that saddam had wmds and was planning to develop or acquire nukes. That of course trumps oil as the main cause but if dennis wanted to be smart he could have said that the fact that iraq sits on oil and is in the middle east where the bulk of the worlds oil is was a factor too. mike
