Indeed. That's why, if we're going to have parental consent laws, they need to allow a bypass process. Not all kids can trust their families.

I have had male students in groups where an uncle molested them.. That was when the awareness of families not being perfect started to permeate my consciousness. Truth stranger than fiction which is probably why I prefer to read the former.
