TP, One method of cleaning up the campaign would be to allow for lawsuits if a campaign ad can be shown to be deceptive, regardless of who or what organization runs the ad.

Go after campaign ads the same way we go after misleading advertisements about products and/or services? Sounds like a nifty idea to me.
