GG could get away with that kind of hedge. I think ABX is somewhere north of $200 cost/oz.

ABX sold short paper gold (future production)=gold out of the ground

PS And yes, the hedge price is above the cost of production. So, as I said, they gave up some potential profit in exchange for a predictable ROI. If you can't see that, I will not belabor the point any longer.
