"I trust the system that creates a traceable trail of actions so that all concerned can be held accountable." I'm with you. Except when we are at war. "I do not blindly trust anyone" I don't either. Particularly unaccountable unelected people I know nothing about. "If the president acts in secret how will we know if he did anything wrong?" This is silly. You are saying that we should have no secret programs. No other wat to interpret this that I can see. If a President loses the trust of the public or abuses his power, then he gets arrested or voted out.
