James - I just read your post after confessing to a friend here
that the hardest thing I deal with is the pain of all the
broken relationships I have had as a result of the "disunity"
of the church. People just keep buying religion and
sacrificing friends and truth to get there. My last post to
Emile is a knee jerk reaction to some degree to this pain but
I will leave it sit as is because I cannot justify anything
less when I hear lofty claims to exclusive authority under
Christ. The "holy of holies" is not behind a curtain within
any particular building or denomination. I actually attended
a church before leaving Canada where the minister
(perhaps for my "benefit")
preached that God had so ordained the visible
church that He "would not" speak outside of it in a home
church. Tell that to the persecuted and suffering Christians
in places like China. What a stuffed shirt that man has
become. What a deaf liar he is. What a lovely little religion
he builds. Another church where Christ FROM OUTSIDE knocks
on the door offering to "sup with" anyone who can hear His voice.
I share your desire to see brothers in Christ stand together
in agreement but until the pride goes - the church will be a
house divided against itself. "Oh Jerusalem"

Joh 11:35 Jesus wept.

Love to you James

In His name I pray.

As a peacemaker , you have done alright ....

you preach a good sermon and a good gospel , and it comes from a sincere place ...

I seem to remember a young jew from palestine that gave his life for his country & a better world , and said there would be those that would come after me that would do greater things than i have done ....he preached a doctrine of "compassion" & "love" .

You have done well....what is the matter with people that they cannot get the gist of it ?

;-)

PS: Elect sounds positively changed , and whatever changed him this direction , is a better thing . Good job elect , you have grown! Welcome to the world of forgiving & love and appreciation ....the rest is not your fight , your master spoke clearly on the eve of his own death, and died to make room in your life for the best of things as above. There are no more fights ...just do what he told you to do....

Or as John posited , to know what the length , the width , the breadth and the height of all things and be totally rapt in awe ...then you become demure and humble and only praise God , and annoint yourself . Jesus asked only that you use him as a template , yet no one ever does . You have done well Santiago ...as a peacemaker that is ,all that you have lived thru shows this to be true . Its about being "true", all denominations may apply...
