"No offense intended, but being a southern stater I vehemently disagree, it is the northern states that are the problem.

Carter - southern
Clinton - southern

Dukakis - northern "

I agree with you on those candidates and statesmen.

It's the personal philosophy of the majority of citizens that divides us and the need of politicians to emphasize those differences. Both CLinton and Carter galvanized the GOP against us with vengeance.

ALl citizens have many things in common but those similarities are not accentuated by political campaigns....healthcare, cost of living, home mortgage rates, education, etc. All families face the same struggle to make ends meet but we don't vote based on those needs.

Instead, we vote on hot button issues to keep gays from having civil rights and to stop abortion...................one would think that keeping healthcare available for our families would be a firsthand priority for everyone...............hell no.......we need to keep those gays from marriage !!!!

Why are gays so threatening to people? Gay marriage doesn't threaten my heterosexuality one iota!

IT amazes me that older folks who need their Social Security vote for the GOP based on religious intentions and don't consider their livelihood a priority.

But then I have seen people pay tithes to their church and let their rent go into arrears so that's the mentality of many GOP sheep.

There are red and blue people in red and blue states but the majority rules and we can't change that.
