I think the SOX did offer the best hope for the bears. Now it looks like the current upwave off the Oct low is about to launch into a (iii) up thereby "hounding" the wedge.

This one sure looks ripe to launch. Even if the count is wrong, the wedge I drew argues for some nice up.

Retailers have really lagged, WMT, LOW, HD haven't helped but I think that changes shortly as per my recent posts.

Here's a close-up of the wedge, just as pretty as the recent similar structure on the $SOX and we all saw what happened there:

For those that think we pullback anytime soon, this chart sure argues against it.

HI the - phoenix,

Well the biggest contributor to the SOX is Mrvl.

Mrvl has just tested it 50 ma and bounced up ,aftering upping its guidance.

Looks to me like semis and equipments are getting a rotational respect. They've moved up nicely in IBD industry rankings 8 and 26 respectively.

I think the SOX breakout is for real this time - no doubt leaves room for a retest at the breakout range.Possibly benefitting from rotation out of real estate and the many new gizmo's touted about at the recent CES show being compounded with seasonal declines not materializing - rather inventory shortages carrying throught o Q1,2006.

All IMHO
