For over 2 years now, every breakout - and every breakdown - failed to begin a new trend. Former enthusiastic trend followers have already accepted the new religion of range trading. Sooner or later, they'll have to reverse their conversion... - the question is, when? On this breakout? On the next break down?

My problem with Onischka is that often he holds his cards too close to his vest. His is a "black box" style of Elliott analysis. But - must admit that over the years his results often were pretty impressive.

In this case, the fact that he is betting with the established cycles is by no means surprising. What I find interesting is that he expects the markets to bottom - in essence - once again, within the established range. This must be a consequence of his view that everything since the 2000 top is (still) a large Wave 4.
