Saddam had nothing to do with Al Qaida. If Saddam indeed had a single terrorist connection Bush-Cheney would have released all that and made a big PR event out of it, including in front of the UN and in order to shame anti-war activists. Instead, Bush-Cheney have already finally admitted Saddam had nothing to do with 9-11, nor Al Qaida, nor any plans to attack America.

The kind of stories in that article come from discredited sources like Curveball, unreliable Iraqi exiles who lied for whatever reasons. Cheney knew they were lying but used the stories anyway to receive the US public.

Saddam did start sending money to Palestinian terrorist families during the uprising against Israel, but only as a PR move to try and get Islamics on its side (Iraq was a secular state) when the US was pressuring it. Much more support came from the Saudis and Iran. Saudi Arabia has been funding terrorist families for many years, but they are Bush's best pals. In fact, the Bushes and bin Laudens are great pals going back decades. Bush's first company was partly funded by an agent for a Bin Lauden.
